The location of the cottage was great, allowing easy access to Dartmoor and nearby pubs for meals. the cottage itself was comfortable and had a well-equipped kitchen. the hosts were friendly and flexible, and even provided milk on arrival. the presence of a warm pool and a shooting centre added to the overall experience.
Parking could have been more convenient, as it sometimes required parking at the courtyard level.

We loved the location of the cottage, nestled in the peaceful countryside. It was the perfect base to explore both the stunning moors and the vibrant city of Exeter. The cottage itself was well-equipped and comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay. The added bonus of a swimming pool was a great way to relax and cool off after a day of exploring. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The complementary snacks were a lovely touch and made us feel truly cared for during our stay.
The bed set-up in the cottage. The ladder to climb up to the bed felt a bit unsafe and exposed.

My partner and I recently stayed at a lovely little holiday cottage in a beautiful, quiet location. Despite being a more mobile couple, we found the access to be a bit challenging for older guests, with a steep narrow path and slippery leaves. The steps up to the door were a bit uneven, but thankfully there was a sturdy handrail. Inside, the kitchen and bathroom were well equipped with high-quality fittings, and the 4 poster bed was very comfortable. The cottage was also spotlessly clean. We appreciated the selection of books and leaflets about the area. The location itself, nestled within a complex of restored farm buildings, was wonderfully peaceful. We also had a dedicated parking space, good WiFi, and a TV with freeview channels. it was a good little holiday hideaway for two.
One minor downside was the replacement of the comfortable armchairs shown in the website photos with a not-so-comfortable sofa bed. The shower also proved a bit tricky to get the right temperature, but the presence of a fantastic bath made up for it.

My partner and I recently stayed at this charming countryside retreat and had a fabulous time. The cottage we stayed in was a hidden gem, tucked away in the moors, providing us with the peace and quiet we were craving. The cottage itself was well-equipped with everything we needed, from a fully stocked kitchen to cozy bedding. We were pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail, with little extras like tea towels and washing up liquid provided. Despite a couple of minor inconveniences like parking being a bit far and the narrow roads, there was little not to like about our stay. The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area, and the communication with the property owner was excellent. The welcome pack upon arrival was a thoughtful touch, and the property was clean and comfortable. We even made a furry friend in Chloe, who eagerly awaited treats at our door! I would highly recommend this fantastic place for a peaceful countryside getaway.
